Annunciato il cast di “Francis and the Godfather” (titolo provvisorio), il nuovo film di Barry Levinson incentrato sulla realizzazione del celebre lungometraggio del 1972 “Il Padrino” (The Godfather), diretto da Francis Ford Coppola.
Oscar Isaac interpreterà Francis Ford Coppola, Elisabeth Moss sarà Eleanor Coppola, Jake Gyllenhaal vestirà i panni di Robert Evans e Elle Fanning sarà Ali MacGraw.
La pellicola sarà basata su una sceneggiatura firmata da Andrew Farotte (The Black List). Mike Marcus, Doug Mankoff e Andrew Spaulding produrranno tramite la loro Echo Lake Entertainment, insieme a Andrew Spaulding, Kevin Turen, Jon Levin e alla Baltimore Pictures di Jason Sosnoff.
Francis Ford Coppola ha dato la sua approvazione al progetto: “Ogni film che Barry Levinson fa su qualsiasi tema, sarà sempre valido e interessante!”.
