L’attore canadese Christopher Plummer, vincitore del premio Oscar per il ruolo del padre gay nel film “Beginners” (2011) di Mike Mills, è morto “serenamente” nella sua casa in Connecticut (USA) all’età di 91 anni. Accanto a lui aveva la moglie, l’attrice Elaine Taylor. Lascia anche la figlia, l’attrice Amanda Plummer.
Artista leggendario a Broadway, per il National Theatre e la Royal Shakespeare Company in Inghilterra e per la Shakespeare Festival Company in Canada, Plummer nel 2012 è diventato – a 82 anni – l’attore più anziano a vincere la statuetta come migliore attore non protagonista.
